Youth soccer coach accused, not guilty plea entered

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A youth soccer coach accused of sexually assault a child pleads not guilty in a Milwaukee County courtroom on Friday, May 9th.

Matthew Barr entered his plea Friday morning on charges of first-degree child sexual assault and strangulation and suffocation.

Prosecutors say Barr assaulted a 14-year-old girl inside a hotel. The criminal complaint says he also put a pillow over the girl's face when she tried to scream.

If convicted, Barr faces up to 60 years in prison.
