Woman charged with drunk driving, crashing into War Memorial
MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee woman is now charged with driving drunk and crashing into the War Memorial building on the city's lakefront back in April. Rosalin Rodriguez has been convicted two other times for similar crimes.
The criminal complaint says Rodriguez missed the curve on Mason Street and crashed through the plate glass windows of the War Memorial building. The car then kept going, down a staircase.
The complaint indicates Rodriguez was taken to Froedtert Hospital after the crash and her blood alcohol concentration was .22 -- or nearly three times the legal limit for driving.
If convicted, Rodriguez faces up to a year in the county jail and $2,000 in fines.
