Woman charged after striking pedestrian on Brady St.
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 27-year-old Katelyn Kramsky of Milwaukee was charged on Thursday, November 14th in connection with an incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a car on Brady St. on the city's east side.
27-year-old David Stefanik was attempting to cross the road with a group of friends when he was struck by Kramsky.
"Everyone froze. It was surreal. We didn't think he really got hit," said Ryan Kernen. "He hit the windshield, went on top of the car and she didn't stop."

Kramsky faces two charges for the incident which happened on Sunday, November 10th. Those charges include injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and duty upon striking.
According to the criminal complaint, an officer on patrol on N. Farwell Ave. noticed a car disregard a red traffic signal at Farwell and Brady Streets just after 2 a.m. The officer noticed the car had "severe damage to the vehicle's windshield." When the officer conducted a traffic stop, he noticed Kramsky was the driver and he "detected an odor of alcohol on her breath and saw that her eyes were watery."
The complaint says the officer asked Kramsky what happened and she replied, "I don't know. I hit someone on Brady Street." When the officer asked Kramsky if she had been drinking, she replied, "Yes, I should not have been driving.
According to the complaint, Kramsky was asked to perform standard sobriety tests and the officer "observed signs of impairment."
Shortly after Kramsky was pulled over, the complaint indicates officers responded to E. Brady St. and N. Arlington Pl. They located a man "lying in the roadway." He was treated by Milwaukee firefighters and taken to Froedtert Hospital. The victim apparently suffered a compound fracture to his leg, a skull fracture, blood on the brain and head trauma.
"He's in a lot of pain. He has a really bad headache -- did surgery on Tuesday on his leg," said Kernen. "It's tough, it's tough. He's in and out."
Kramsky remains in jail on $75,000 bail. If convicted, Kramsky faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
