Wisconsin woman pleads not guilty to charges she dragged dog behind her car

OCONTO — A Wisconsin woman has pleaded not guilty to charges that she dragged a dog behind her car, killing the animal.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jordan McDonald of Oconto pleaded not guilty Thursday to a felony charge of mistreating the dog, causing its death, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, McDonald got into an argument on Jan. 10 and left a home with the dog tied to her car. Police pulled over McDonald about three miles away. The complaint says the dog was still attached by a leash to the car.

The complaint says McDonald denied knowing the dog was tied to the vehicle. WTAQ-AM (http://bit.ly/1ZFfjKs) reports she is due back in court February 11th.

A trial date has not been set yet.
