MILWAUKEE - The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 689 Saturday, Feb. 27 according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), for a total of 563,496.
There have been 6,412 deaths in the state, with 13 new deaths reported Saturday.
Of the positive cases, 26,088 have required hospitalization (4.6%), while 548,884 have recovered (97.4%), making for 8,041 active cases (1.4%).
More than 2.6 million have tested negative. More than 3.1 million have been tested.
As for the COVID-19 vaccine, DHS officials reported as of Saturday, Feb. 27 that 1,387,594 doses have been administered. To date, 1,625,875 doses have been allocated to Wisconsin.
The DHS reported 469,944 Wisconsin residents have completed the two-shot vaccination series.
