WAUKESHA (WITI) — Two people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting at the Citgo gas station in Waukesha that killed 65-year-old Saeed Sharwani of Brookfield -- and police say one of those in custody is the man who pulled the trigger. They continue to seek a third suspect -- a man they describe as "armed and dangerous."

Police arrested 19-year-old Kenneth Thomas, a convicted felon in West Allis less than 10 hours after the shooting, which occurred last Tuesday, January 13th. Thomas hasn't yet been officially charged in the case, but investigators believe Thomas fired the shot that killed Sharwani, a clerk at the gas station.
Additionally, it is believed Thomas and his accomplices were involved in at least six robberies in four jurisdictions. Their crime spree touched the communities of West Allis, Milwaukee, the Town of Brookfield and the city of Waukesha.
In addition to Thomas, police have also arrested 23-year-old Jerica Cotton. She was the getaway driver, police say.
Police say the fatal shooting occurred after two men entered the gas station, intent on robbing the place.
Based on surveillance video from inside the store, the men were wearing Halloween masks -- and one produced a handgun. Sharwani confronted the armed suspect and the suspect shot Sharwani in the chest — before the two suspects fled the store.
Darrin Malone
The search continues for 28-year-old Darrin Malone -- believed to be the second man involved in the incident. Malone has known ties to Waukesha, police say.
The owner of the Citgo gas station has offered up to a $5,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of Malone.
Malone should be considered armed and extremely dangerous — anyone with information regarding his whereabouts are asked to call the Waukesha Police Department at 262-524-3820.
