Walmart looking to hire 95 for store slated to open in Waukesha

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- Walmart is seeking applicants for up to 95 positions at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this fall in Waukesha at Highway 164 and Coral Drive. A temporary hiring center has opened at 1507 E. Sunset Drive, Suite 125.

Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested applicants should apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. Interested veterans may find out more at http://walmartcareerswithamission.com.

According to store manager Lee Spude, the store will be hiring both full-and part-time associates.

“We are excited to add a new Walmart Neighborhood Market to Waukesha and bring good jobs with great career opportunities to the area,” said Spude. “I’m looking to hire supervisors, bakery and deli associates, customer service representatives, cashiers, overnight stockers, among other opportunities.”

Walmart provides a benefits program to eligible full-and part-time associates. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance.

Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.

The majority of new associates will begin work in October to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
