Volunteers help clean up rivers and parks during Earth month

About 4,000 volunteers came out help clean up rivers and parks as part of the Milwaukee River Keeper's 17th Annual Spring River Cleanup.

Volunteers covered 50 sites, including the Menomonee River parkway near North Ave. 50 volunteers equipped with gloves dragged garbage bags to fill with any trash they found during the three hour event.

Volunteers told us they found a lot of things like tires, wires and even a bible.
