UW-Milwaukee chancellor search narrowed down to three candidates

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The search for the next chancellor at UW-Milwaukee has been narrowed down to three candidates.

The candidates are Mark Mone, the current interim chancellor at UWM, Gail Hackett, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and William "Mike" Sherman, senior VP and provost/chief operating officer at the University of Akron.

University officials say the candidates will participate in a series of public forums that haven't been announced yet.

A final decision is expected in early December.
