UPDATE: Two arrested in connection with homicide near 91st and Thurston

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two suspects have been arrested for the January 13th homicide that occurred near 91st and Thurston.

Police say two teenagers were shot Tuesday, January 13th around 11:00 p.m. in what appears to be a drug-related incident. A 15-year-old boy was treated and released. A 19-year-old boy died at the hospital. The victim of the homicide is identified as Vonnae Whitaker.

Police say two 17-year-old males were taken into custody on Wednesday, January 14th. Police are not seeking any other suspects.

The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
