UPDATE: Police ID two killed in stabbing near 20th and Lapham on south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred near S. 20th Street and Lapham Street in Milwaukee Thursday night, January 15th. Two people are dead — the victims have been identified as  47-year-old Moses Garcia-Macias and  26-year-old Martha Garcia.

It happened shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Police say this is a domestic situation, as all of those involve appear to be related.

Two children, ages eight and nine suffered superficial stab wounds — as did a 46-year-old woman. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

There are five total victims.

A person of interest, a 22-year-old man has been taken into custody, police say.

All of those involved are from Milwaukee.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
