Update: MPD identifies 18-year-old who was fatally shot on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near 19th and Eggert Saturday afternoon, October 28th.

It happened around 3:30 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that had collided with a tree. Inside was 18-year-old Jakeem Sims, who had been shot. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.

Officials say two other people in the vehicle sustained injuries from the crash.

At this time, there are no suspects in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
