Two Milwaukee teens arrested in connection with stolen vehicle
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two Milwaukee teens were arrested on Saturday, April 12th after officers found them in a stolen minivan.
According to police, officers spotted the two teens around 10:45 p.m. in a minivan in the 4600 block of N. 39th Street. Police say the teens were throwing objects into an alley.
As officer approached the vehicle, the two teens fled the scene on foot.
The officers caught up with the suspects in the 4500 block of N. 39th Street and took them into custody.
The owner of the minivan confirmed his vehicle had been stolen, but no yet reported, in the 3700 block of N. 41st Street.
The two suspects, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, face charges of operating an automobile without the owner's consent, resisting an officer and curfew violations.
The 16-year-old male has a previous arrest for operating an automobile with the owner's consent and is currently on probation for auto theft.
The case will be referred tot he Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
