Two house fires, one at a vacant home keep Milwaukee Fire crews busy Sunday morning
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Fire officials say no one was hurt on Sunday morning, August 31st as crews responded to two separate house fires -- one of them occurring in a vacant home.
The call for the first fire came in around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Fire officials were called out to a vacant home in the 1100 block of W. Hadley.
Fire crews found a fire that began on the first floor, and made its way up to the second floor of the home.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire, and damage estimates haven't yet been released.
Later Sunday morning, Milwaukee Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 2700 block of N. 16th Street in Milwaukee.
Fire officials say a call came in around 6:00 a.m. Sunday for smoke in the area.
Fire crews had to break into the home - though officials say everyone was able to get out of the home before fire crews arrived on scene.
Fire crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
No one was hurt.
