Two dead after five people stabbed near 20th and Lapham on south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal stabbing that has occurred near S. 20th Street and Lapham Street in Milwaukee. Two people are dead -- a 47-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.

It happened shortly before 7:00 p.m.

Police say this is a domestic situation, as all of those involve appear to be related.

Two children, ages eight and nine suffered superficial stab wounds -- as did a 46-year-old woman. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

There are five total victims.

A person of interest, a 22-year-old man has been taken into custody, police say.

All of those involved are from Milwaukee.
