Truck hits utility pole in Brookfield, causes power outage

BROOKFIELD (WITI) -- About 800 people were without power in Brookfield for a couple of hours after a truck hit a utility pole near Capitol and Calhoun on Thursday, December 12th. Power was restored to all customers by 1:20 p.m.

Officials say a semi truck snagged a cable TV line around 11:15 a.m.  During the incident, three We Energies utility poles were damaged.

No additional details have been released -- including the cause of the crash or if any injuries were sustained.
