MILWAUKEE -- Stars and Stripes Honor Flight will fill Miller Park in August for what's being billed as "a once-in-a-generation event."

The event set for Saturday, August 11th will be titled "Field of Honor: A Salute to the Greatest Generation." It will bring together thousands of World War II veterans, veterans from other conflicts, their families, friends and communities.

The event will feature the world premiere of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight documentary on the Miller Park High-Definition Video Board and a special viewing of the official model of the WWII Memorial on loan before going to the Smithsonian.

Tickets are $11 per person and will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, March 27th. They can be purchased online at starsandstripeshonorflight.org or brewers.com/fieldofhonor. You can also purchase tickets by calling 414-902-4000.

Two more Honor Flights will happen this spring on April 28 and June 2 taking another 330 WWII veterans to see their memorials in Washington. All net proceeds from Field of Honor will ensure that these Honor Flights continue this fall. There are currently 475 veterans on the SSHF wait list.
