Teenager struck by car in front of Brown Deer High School

BROWN DEER -- A 15-year-old boy suffered minor injuries Friday morning after being hit by a car in front of Brown Deer High School.

Police say the teenager was crossing N. 60th Street and Tower Ave. just after 7 a.m. when he was struck by a car driven by a 49-year-old Milwaukee woman.

The driver told police she did not see the teen. She was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk -- and released from the scene of the accident.
The teenager was taken to a hospital for treatment of a possible broken leg.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was not drunk or speeding.
