St. Francis home uninhabitable after fire; cause under investigation

A home in St. Francis was damaged by fire early Monday morning, Jan. 27. Crews were called to the area of Howard and Iowa around 1:35 a.m.

What we know:

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke emitting from the rear of the two-story home. Once they entered the home, crews encountered smoke and fire throughout the basement.

The occupants have reportedly found temporary housing. The home is considered uninhabitable.
