MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Drivers who frequent the Lake Parkway in Milwaukee may appreciate a change that took place on Tuesday, August 20th.
The Department of Transportation upped the speed limit from 40 m.p.h. to 50 m.p.h. The signs were just put up on Tuesday.
The speed limit was originally only 40 m.p.h. because there was concern about noise generating from faster traffic. Those worries about noise never materialized -- so the speed limit was increased.
