Speed believed to have been a factor in crash near Teutonia & Dean that left one person dead

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police say the driver of a vehicle that crashed near Teutonia and Dean died as a result of the crash. Police say speed is believed to have been a factor in this incident.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m.

Upon arrival of officers, it was determined the crash involved a single vehicle, headed northbound on Teutonia.

The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a cinderblock structure near the intersection of Teutonia and Dean.

Four people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

One of those people was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries -- and that person is expected to survive.

The name of the driver who died hasn't been released.

Wisconsin State Patrol officials were called out to the scene to assist with the investigation.
