Sheriff's officials: Body located in Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, family of missing man notified

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- Walworth County Sheriff's officials say a body has been discovered in the Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy -- and the family of a missing man has been notified.

The body was discovered around noon on Thursday, September 11th.

Walworth County Sheriff's officials say the body is that of a male -- but the body's identity hasn't yet been determined.

Sheriff's officials say the body was discovered by volunteers, looking for Brian Bates -- the Williams Bay man missing since August 24th. Those volunteers apparently came upon a makeshift campsite off of Harris Road. The body was located near the campsite.

Officials say an autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.

Again, the body hasn't yet been positively identified.
