Sheriff says 6 of Top 10 wanted suspects arrested since October

MILWAUKEE (WITI) – Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. began a collaborative initiative, Operation Manhunt, with the U.S. Marshals Service in October to locate and arrest subjects on serious active felony warrants in Milwaukee County, including crimes of homicide, sexual assault, armed robbery, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Sheriff Clarke announced a reward program at that time for the community’s assistance in locating subjects wanted for serious crimes.

A Top Ten list was generated, and six of those ten have been apprehended by area law enforcement.

Three citizens received $1,000 rewards for their tips that lead to the arrest of several of the subjects.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to offer $1,000 rewards for information leading to the arrest of the subjects on the Top Ten list.

The identity of tipsters remains confidential.

People with information on the whereabouts of these suspects can call the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office at (414) 278-4736.

Law enforcement officers obtain warrants, but with limited resources, they don’t have the luxury of going after all of the subjects on file. Operation Manhunt has resulted in 127 felony warrants cleared by arrest since mid-October.
