Second plane crash in as many days in Oshkosh Thursday -- this one was fatal
OSHKOSH (WITI) – A man is dead and a woman is in serious condition after their plane crashed at Wittman Regional Airport Thursday morning, July 31st.
EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski says the plane crashed around 9 a.m. on the southeast side of the airport.
The pilot had attempted to land the breezy type plane when it bounced and then crashed.
The 74-year-old Kentucky man was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, but Knapinski said the man has since died.
The airport was closed for about an hour after the crash.
