S.C. Johnson will soon allow tours of its research tower

RACINE (WITI) -- S.C. Johnson & Son will soon allow the public to tour its Frank Lloyd Wright-designed research tower.

It is the first time they are allowing the public inside.

The tours will begin on select days, starting in May.

In 1939, Wright was commissioned to design the tower, and it opened in 1950.

S.C. Johnson completed a 12-month restoration project of the building in 2013.
