Robbery victim shot, wounded on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating an armed robbery/shooting that happened near Howell and Layton early on Thursday, January 28th.

A suspect entered a business around 3:15 a.m. and demanded and obtained money from the cash register. The suspect then shot the victim, a 22-year-old Milwaukee man, and fled from the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

MPD continues to search for the suspect.
