MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Parks will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Humboldt Park Playground at noon on Saturday, October 20th. The new tot lot, designed especially for children age 2 to 5, is adjacent to restrooms and the wading pool.
At the park, families will be greeted by an accessible interactive play structure, bucket swings, belt swings, and a teeter totter upon a colorful, poured-in-place, resilient rubber surface.
Set into the surface is the Parks oak-leaf design. An accessible table also complements the area. The new playground has a footprint of about 3,400 square feet.
Mature trees in the area were not impacted by the design.
