Loved ones gathered to honor Robinson’s life and raise awareness about "Sade’s Voice Foundation," which aims to support families impacted by violent crime.

What they're saying:

"It's been very tough for my family and I, dealing with trauma and being a crime victim, ongoing trauma and our mental health," said Sheena Scarbrough, Robinson’s mother. "We're just kind of crafting that and taking it one day at a time. It's very challenging. I'm definitely here to support other crime victim families."

Family members and supporters also shared messages remembering Robinson and her impact.

"Dear Sade, you are loved. That is why we are all gathered here today, my heavenly, beautiful, Black queen. You may not be here physically, but you are always present in spirit," said Marquis Garner, Special Olympics Wisconsin athlete. "Your beautiful angelic, soft, playful voice, I can still hear it. I thank the Lord for your mom, your grandma, your sister and all your friends and family. We are not going to let evil win. Like your mom said, you are a light worker, blessed by God."
