Racine woman arrested for 4th OWI charge

RACINE — A Racine woman was arrested for her 4th OWI Tuesday morning, October 9th after being stopped by police for speeding.

50-year-old Gela Glover-Cartharn was stopped by the Wisconsin State Patrol Waukesha Post for speeding in the City of Racine at approximately 1:48 a.m. During the traffic stop the trooper detected a strong odor of intoxicants.

Cartharn was arrested following a field sobriety test. Cartharn was then taken to St. Mary's for a legal blood draw and then transported to the Racine County Jail.

Cartharn was also cited for an open intoxicant in the vehicle and held on an active warrant with Racine police.
