Racine police: Woman struck by gunfire near Marquette and Hamilton Streets

RACINE -- Racine police are investigating after a woman was struck by gunfire near Marquette and Hamilton Streets Thursday, October 27th.

Officials responded to the scene shortly after 5:15 p.m.

Authorities say the victim was transported to Ascension Wheaton Healthcare for treatment. The severity of her injuries is unclear at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation and no other details are known at this time.
