Racine police seeking suspect in McDonald's robbery

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are investigating a robbery involving the McDonald's restaurant located in the 3000 block of Douglas Ave.

Police say the incident occurred just after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22nd.

Officials say an employee of McDonald's left the restaurant with a deposit for the bank when her vehicle was rear-ended by a dark-colored older Chevy Tahoe or Suburban with dark windows.

The vehicle's passenger approached the McDonald's employee and physically assaulted her. 

The suspect then removed the bank deposit, the victim's purse and a cell phone and returned to the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The operator of the suspect vehicle was described as a black male wearing a black Brewer’s baseball cap.

The passenger, and suspect who approached the victim, was described as a Hispanic male, 5’07” tall, with a medium build, 25 years old, with a full mustache, a tattoo on his neck, wearing a black knit hat, black shoes and black sweat pants with a large pocket.
