Racine police search for man who robbed Chase Bank branch
RACINE -- Racine police needs the public's help in its search for a bank robber. The suspect robbed the Chase Bank branch at 500 Wisconsin Ave. in Racine just after noon on Thursday, May 17th.
Officials say the African-American suspect entered the bank and passed a note demanding money. The bank employee complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect fled the bank. The suspect then entered a brown truck and the truck drove from the area.
At about 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Peck Ave. for a person who had been with the suspect prior to and after the robbery. Officers transported this person to the Racine Police Department Detective Unit for an interview. Officers also located and have impounded a truck matching the description of the offender’s.
