Racine police investigate homicide at 11th & Washington

RACINE -- Racine police are investigating the death of a man as a homicide. This, after he was found at 11th St. and Washington Ave. just before 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 23rd.

First responders were dispatched to the scene for a report of a vehicle accident, but inside the car, they found the driver suffering from a traumatic injury to his chest. They took the man to Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Emergency Room where he died.

The man was identified as 22-year-old Jeremiah Brook of Racine.

Witnesses tell police the man apparently lost control of his vehicle and rear-ended a parked vehicle. Officers and investigators believe the driver suffered the injury to his chest at another, at this point unknown, location prior to the accident.
