Project Wish grants over 60 wishes for children

MILWAUKEE -- Thursday night, March 29th, "Project Wish" took over the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Milwaukee - granting more than 60 wishes for Wisconsin children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The money raised through a silent auction, cocktail reception and raffle all goes to help the children.

The night also featured a special runway show with 13 wish kids - all wearing outfits that depict their wishes.

"It's such an incredible and inspiring night. The transformative power of granting a wish is life-changing. I've had kids look at me in the eye and say 'that was the best day of my life.' That's what we're all here for - to create magical days for kids that need it," Mary Alice Stephenson, Make-A-Wish Fashion Ambassador said.

Since the Wisconsin chapter was founded in 1984, more than 4,300 families have had their wishes granted, including more than 300 last year.
