Police: Wauwatosa man found with severe head injury at bar near Lambeau after Packers game

ASHWAUBENON (WITI) -- Ashwaubenon police say a person of interest has been identified after a 20-year-old Wauwatosa man was found with a severe head injury at a bar near Lambeau Field following Sunday's Packers vs. Cowboys game.

Police and paramedics responded to the Sideline Sports Bar on Lombardi Access Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 11th.

There, they found the Wauwatosa man with a severe head injury.

Police believe the Wauwatosa man was with the person of interest at the time he was injured, and police believe the two had just met.

Police say the person of interest was reported to be angry over the Cowboys loss to the Packers, and the Wauwatosa man and the person of interest are said to have gone outside. Later, the Wauwatosa man was found badly injured.

Ashwaubenon police say they have reason to believe the person of interest may have been involved in this incident as he was last known to have been with the Wauwatosa man. They also reportedly found a "selfie" of the victim and the person of interest on the victim's phone.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police are looking for information from witnesses who may have seen what happened.
