Police: Wausau men tried to buy, sell $3.1 million worth of marijuana

WAUSAU (AP) — A Wisconsin bar owner and another man are charged with trying to buy and resell $3.1 million worth of marijuana through the bar.

Scott Kurzynski, who owns Paradox of Wausau tavern, was charged Monday with felony conspiracy to manufacture or deliver marijuana and misdemeanor bail jumping.

The other man, Timothy Kleinschmidt, faces four felony charges. He was charged Monday with conspiracy to manufacture or deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of psilocin with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Wausau Daily Herald Media (http://wdhne.ws/1yzCAV1 ) reports Kurzynski is believed to be the main conspirator.

Authorities say Kurzynski told an undercover agent last month that he was interested in buying 100 pounds of pot in small quantities throughout the next two years.

Both men are from Wausau. Court records don't indicate an attorney.
