Police van, car collide at intersection on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee Police Department van collided with a car at Center and Holton in Milwaukee on Wednesday, September 25th.

The collision happened just after 10 a.m. Officials say the police van was westbound on Center -- the car was southbound on Holton. They collided at the intersection. Now, investigators are trying to determine who had the right of way.

The 40-year-old officer driving the police van was the only person in the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for bumps and bruises. He's a 17-year veteran of the police force.

The 43-year-old man in the car was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
