Police seek suspect in armed robbery of Family Dollar

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Police are seeking information on the identity of the suspect responsible for an armed robbery that happened at the Family Dollar Store, 9014 West Appleton Avenue, at 8:40 p.m. on October 7.

The suspect entered the Family Dollar Store at 9014 W Appleton Ave armed with a silver and black semi-auto handgun. The suspect then demanded money from a customer and the clerk at the register. The suspect also took the customer's cell phone during the above offense.

The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old, 5'8"-5'10" tall, slim build, 160-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, a black baseball cap with red visor and blue jeans.
