Police: Man who showed up at hospital with gunshot wound accidentally shot himself

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday, June 23.

Police said around 7 p.m., a 23-year-old man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

An investigation revealed the man originally lied to police, and it was determined that he accidentally shot himself. He suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening, and was taken into custody.
