MILWAUKEE - A 27-year-old man was fatally shot near 64th Street and Silver Spring Drive Monday evening, Oct. 5.

It happened around 5 p.m.

Police are investigating what may have led up to the shooting, and seeking the shooter.

A march was held Tuesday in honor of the victim, Germaine Reid, 27.

Loved ones and community activists walked from 33rd and Silver Spring to 64th and Silver Spring, saying silence isn't the answer.

"My goal for today is to get justice for my brother," said Marquell Jenkins, Reid's brother. "Silence is not the answer. We need to stop the violence, stop the killing, stop the Black on black crime, stop the racism, stop everything."
