Police looking for suspect after five bank robberies in one month

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are looking for a bank robbery suspect they say has robbed at least five banks in a month. Police are looking for the public's help in locating and arresting this suspect.

Police say the robberies occurred between May 29th and June 25th -- spread across Milwaukee and Greenfield.

Police say the Tri-City bank branch was robbed for a second time on Monday.

Officials say the suspect enters the bank wearing a baseball cap or a hood and sunglasses, approaches the teller and presents a note.

"The demand note usually has something about a gun. The teller then turns over U.S. currency and the subject ends up walking calmly out of these banks," Milwaukee Police Detective David Anderson said.

Police say no one has yet seen the suspect's gun, but he sometimes places his hands at his waistband, implying he has a weapon.

The suspect usually wears long-sleeved baggy shirts and dark blue jeans.

During Monday's Tri-City robbery, the man's baseball cap said: "Summit Racing Equipment" and his jeans had yellow writing on one of the rear pockets.

The man has also been spotted wearing a woman's wig under a stocking cap.
