Police locate family of girl, 2, dropped off at day care in Milwaukee Monday morning
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police said Monday evening, July 23 the family of Tiffany, a 2-year-old girl dropped off at a Milwaukee day care Monday morning was located. She has been reunited with her loved ones.
Police asked for help identifying and locating the girl's parents/guardians Monday afternoon after they said Tiffany was dropped off at a day care near Silver Spring and Lovers Lane.
FOX6 News spoke with the owner of the Jordan Early Childhood Academy at Silver Spring and Lovers Lane, who indicated the girl was dropped off Monday morning by an aunt -- who told the desk worker the mother would be there at 3 p.m. to pick her up.
Monday was the desk worker's first day working this particular shift, and that employee was told to expect two new children to arrive at the day care Monday. The owner said it wasn't until after the aunt left that it was discovered Tiffany was not one of those two new children, and she didn't belong at this day care.
The child was at the day care from 7:45 a.m. until 4:40 p.m. when a social worker picked her up.
Again -- she is now back with her family.
