Police investigating "suspicious" death in Village of Summit

VILLAGE OF SUMMIT (WITI) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department is handling a death investigation in the Village of Summit.

According to police, the Village of Summit Police Department  responded to an address on Elm Street in the Village to check the well-being of a resident on Wednesday, January 22nd.

Upon arrival, they located a 60-year-old man deceased inside the residence and they believe the death to be suspicious.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and the Village of Summit Police Department are working closely on this investigation.

Police say the citizens of the community should know that there is no need to be concerned for their safety at this time.
