Police investigating armed robbery, shooting near 13th and Locust

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating an armed robbery that led to a shooting near the intersection of 13th and Locust just before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11th.

Police say a 47-year-old black man was walking home from the grocery store when two black juveniles approached him and  demanded items.  He refused, and then shoved one of them. 

One of the suspects then showed a revolver, and shot the man in the ankle.  He was transported to a hospital, and he is expected to survive. 

The police have descriptions of the suspects, but have not made any arrests. 

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
