Police investigate homicide: 23-year-old man shot near 24th Pl. & Hadley in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened near 24th Place and Hadley on Monday morning, January 26th. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Leroy Smith III.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 3:30 a.m.

According to police, Leroy Smith III was shot by an 18-year-old Milwaukee man. The 18-year-old suspect is in custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
