Police: 21-year-old woman shot, injured near 12th & Abert Pl. in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Sunday night, July 24th.

It happened around 11:50 p.m. near 12th Street and Abert Place.

Police say a small group of people were standing in front of a house when at least one suspect fired multiple gunshots at the group. A 21-year-old woman was struck by the gunfire.

She was taken to the hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. She is being treated for what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury.
