Police: 21-year-old man injured in drug-related shooting near 57th & Villard

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night, September 21st. It happened near 57th and Villard around 6:15 p.m.

The victim, a 21-year-old man from Milwaukee, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at a local hospital.

The victim’s initial statement regarding the incident was not factual.  Further investigation revealed the shooting to be drug-related.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.
