Police: 2 people shot, wounded in Milwaukee within 10-minute period in broad daylight
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two non-fatal shootings that happened within 10 minutes of each other in broad daylight on Tuesday, October 11th.
The first happened around 11:15 a.m. near 33rd and Wells Street.
Police say a 31-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and wounded during circumstances that remain under investigation.
The man was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance -- for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
MPD continues to seek a motive and search for suspect(s).
The second shooting happened around 11:25 a.m. near 27th and Atkinson.
Police say an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman has indicated she was walking when a suspect in a passing vehicle shot her.
The woman was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
