Police: 2 children among 'several' hurt in crash near 49th and Villard; 2 drivers cited

MILWAUKEE -- Two children and one adult were injured and taken to the hospital after a crash near 49th Street and Villard Avenue in Milwaukee, Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 11, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Milwaukee police said it happened just after 4 p.m. when a vehicle struck another after the driver of the striking vehicle turned north in front of the other vehicle.

Police said "several people" were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and two of those were juveniles.

The driver of the striking vehicle received a citation, and the driver of the second vehicle received three citations, police said.

The Milwaukee Fire Department was called to the scene around 4:15 p.m. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
