Police: 13-year-old boy shot, injured near 19th and Wright; stolen vehicle found running on scene

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting involving a 13-year-old male victim.

It happened in an alley in the 2500 block of N. 19th Street around 6:45 p.m.

It is believed the 13-year-old boy will survive.

Police say the circumstances surrounding this shooting are unclear at this time -- but they say the victim and two other teens were riding in a stolen vehicle -- which was found running at the scene.

The victim was not in the vehicle when he was shot, police say.

MPD detectives will interview the victim and his accomplices to determine what led to the shooting.
